Since 2009, Diam Bouchage has been committed to an environmental policy integrated into our business activities, aiming to continuously improve our environmental performance and act as a responsible company. One of the major projects in this initiative is the energy management of our operations, which includes energy consumption reduction, heat recovery, and the development of means for the production of renewable energy.
Solar energy as a concrete action
In this context, sun shade structures were installed throughout the parking lot of our French site in Céret, in the Pyrénées Orientales during the summer of 2024. This project is part of our energy transition approach, aiming to participate in the fight against global warming on our scale. Sun shade structures not only reduce our greenhouse gas emissions, but also guarantee access to an increasingly precious energy source. At the same time, we have also started a major solar farm project in Spain, which is currently being validated.
An ambitious carbon trajectory
Our commitment to energy management is a strong lever for achieving our “Carbon” objectives. Since 2021, Diam Bouchage has been committed to an ambitious trajectory aiming for a 15% reduction in its carbon footprint by 2025, with a 55% reduction in Scope 1&2 emissions and control over Scope 3 emissions.
