Building on its expertise in the technical cork segment, Diam proposes a cork closure whose longevity can reach 30 years.
Dedicated to Grands Crus, this innovation will avoid the particularly delicate procedure of replacing closures; a procedure proposed by some wine houses to preserve their wines after twenty years of cellaring.
The tests carried out by Diam Bouchage, in collaboration with the Pure Environment laboratory; confirm the stability of the mechanical properties that are guaranteed for 30 years. Subjected to high temperatures reproducing accelerated ageing, the lifespan of the Diam 30 is 2.5 times higher than that of a natural suberin closure in the same conditions. Another advantage: it has very low permeability characteristics, particularly suited to wines for laying-down.
The Diam 30 thus offers optimal ageing for great vintages in complete security and is a new addition to the Diam range. A range that provides closure solutions tailored to each wine in terms of oxygen transfer and resistance over time.
Diam 30 will be available from the 1st of February 2014 and will be presented at the Unified Wine & Grape Symposium 2014 trade show (January 29 and 30 - Booth: 317).
