Diam Collection’s core is made of DIAM micro-agglomerated cork that is clad with an elegant, thin sheet of carefully selected cork enveloping the body and the two end-discs of the closure.
This cork, unique in terms of its appearance and technology, is designed to meet the technical requirements and aesthetic expectations of winemakers who want to adorn each of their bottles with the natural and distinctive look of traditional closures. And it does so, while allowing perfect oxygenation control of fine wines for controlled bottle aging.

The making of a unique closure
The Diam Collection closure has a core of micro-agglomerated cork, clad with an elegant, thin sheet of purified cork, free from any traces of TCA responsible for cork taint. The cork sheets are treated using the same technology of supercritical CO2 at different pressures, which is still unique on the market and has been adapted for cleaning the sheets. The high-precision cladding technique used to cover each surface of the closure (the two end-discs and body) has been specially developed and is covered by a European patent.
